Morgan Thomas joined the KSN News Team in April 2014 as a Morning Reporter.

A native Texan, Morgan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications at the University of Texas in Austin. Following graduation, she began her career in broadcast journalism as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter at KRBC-TV in Abilene, TX.

Her next stop took her back home to Houston where she earned her Master’s Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Houston. She returned to broadcasting as a Reporter at KTRE-TV in East Texas.

From there, Morgan accepted a reporting position at KTAL-TV in Shreveport, LA. That’s where she learned to wake-up really early when she became the Morning Reporter. During this time, Morgan introduced a new, highly popular franchise titled NBC 6 Spirit Stick. In these live reports, Morgan presented the coveted Spirit Stick Award to area high schools for their student body’s enthusiastic display of school spirit.

Morgan is an avid crafter and enjoys crocheting creatively designed afghan blankets, hats and more. She also loves walking and playing with her two dogs, Bonnie and Brooklyn.
