Originally from the Midwest, Eric’s excited to be covering Top 25 NCAA basketball-including the reigning Final Four Shockers, college & pro football, plus local prep sports in the KSN-TV region.
Starting his broadcasting career in Indiana, the Illinois native has covered sporting events from the Hoosier State all the way to California. Some of Eric’s most memorable stories include the S.F. Giants World Series run in 2010 and the Aaron Rogers’ Super Bowl era with the Packers. His work has aired on CNN and captured awards.
Eric says, “One of the biggest thrills for me was spending a day on the golf course with Bo Jackson and William ‘The Refrigerator Perry’ at a celebrity golf tournament. As a longtime Bears fan, riding in a golf cart with ‘The Fridge’ was a bit surreal, and yes-off balance. #72 couldn’t be nicer”. Away from the links, some of the most inspiring athletes he’s ever met include a legally blind downhill mountain bike racer and a woman involved in a devastating motorcycle accident-who’s now running in 100 mile races.
During his time off, Eric enjoys working out, movies and traveling. He’s lived in Japan and even worked at a television station in Alaska. If you want the “inside scoop” on the Iditarod, drop him a line.
