After working several years in the Deep South, Darren Dedo is thrilled to return to the Midwest. He is co-anchor of Kansas Today on KSN News.
Darren has worked as anchor/reporter for almost 19 years. His travels have taken him from the frozen tundra of Minnesota, to the hot and dry deserts of New Mexico, the land of blues music in Jackson, Mississippi, along with stops in Tulsa, Oklahoma and his hometown of Seattle, Washington.
Darren grew up in the Pacific Northwest and studied broadcasting at the University of Washington. He is a 3 time Emmy Award Winner and has also won several Associated Press Awards for his work as an anchor and reporter.
Darren certainly has his hands full at home. He is married with 4 children under the age of 12 who keep him very busy. When he gets some free time he loves watching football. When lucky enough he cheers on his Washington Huskies and the Seattle Seahawks in person. Darren is also a huge basketball nut. He played basketball all through high school and loves watching college and the pros; in fact he’s a big KU fan and is really looking forward to seeing his first game in Lawrence.
