Courtney Ryan is the KSN Capitol Bureau Chief based in Topeka, KS. She covers all state legislative issues that impact Kansans.

Courtney comes from Green Bay, Wisconsin where she covered state politics. During her time in the Badger State, Courtney covered two presidential visits by President Trump. During the 2016 Presidential campaign, she covered national candidate’s stops in Green Bay and  conducted a one-on-one interview with Sen. Bernie Sanders.

In addition to covering politics, Courtney also covered the crime beat. One notable story she covered involved alleged excessive force by a Green Bay Police Officer. Her story was recognized statewide by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.

Courtney graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in May 2012. While at UW-Plattville, Courtney was voted captain of the women’s varsity softball team and also hosted a sports show for the campus TV station.

Outside of work, Courtney enjoys running, yoga, going to concerts, and playing golf. Courtney is also a big baseball fan and enjoys catching any game she can, no matter what team is playing.
