151028-ksn-weather-appSo now you have the Storm Tracker 3 Weather App, what all can you do with it? You’ve come to the right place. Don’t have it yet? Click here to download!

Location

But first, configure your device to allow the “KSNWeather” app to know your location.

On iPhone: Click Settings, then scroll down to your apps near the bottom and select “KSNWeather”. Set Location to “Always” and you will be able to receive specialized alerts tailored for your current location. If that doesn’t work, you may have to go into the Privacy menu and enable it through the app there as well.

On Android: Settings vary by device, but generally you go to Settings, then Apps, then select “KSNWeather”, then under Permissions, make sure “Location” is selected.

Safety Net Alerts

Push Notifications for Weather Warnings for your current location and up to 8 other locations you would like to know about, like your mom’s house in Kansas City or your sister in Dallas.

But they won’t do anything if you don’t enable them first! Click on the menu, select Safety Net Alerts, then click on “Enable Safety Net Alerts”.

Radar Map

You have many choices when viewing radar on the Storm Tracker 3 Everywhere app. If you are primarily in one area, then get sharp detail by selecting the radar nearest your location (top five options). If you are traveling or like to move around the map, then the composite National Radar would be a good choice.

You can save locations on the map and move quickly to them from the drop-down menu. You can also remove saved locations by selecting the location menu and editing your choices.
