Teachman’s Take: Goodbye Snow, Hello Warmer Days

Snow is on the way out early this evening.  Accumulation favored western and northern Kansas today.

It avoided the Wichita area because the air aloft was too try to transport any snow to the surface.

Once the clouds clear overnight, temps will become frigid.

It won’t take much wind to give us subzero wind chills for the Wednesday morning commute.

Temperatures will rebound in true Kansas fashion later this week with lots of sunshine.

Don’t get used to it because there is another storm on the way for the weekend.  New information into the Storm Tracker 3 weather center indicate colder temperatures at the surface which could lead to more ice.  But, we are still several days away from this and we’re going to continue to side wild variations in temperatures until we get closer to the weekend.  Be sure to check back with us frequently for the latest information.  I’ll have your updated forecast tonight on KSN News. – Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman
