Teachman’s Take: Half N’ Half Weekend

The weekend is here!  Who’s ready?  It will be a tale of two different seasons.  Saturday will feel mild in the 50s.  But, the winds will make it feel slightly cooler.

Sunday, there will be a significant drop in temps as another burst of cold air sweeps through.  As it arrives, there will be a chance for flurries and snow on Sunday.

Amounts look light with the majority staying along and to the north of I-70.  As the snow starts to move into southern Kansas, it fizzles out.

Next week, there is another system to watch for Tuesday.  However, model trends want to put the more significant moisture just to our south and east.  When it comes to temps, they won’t be consistent over the next week, so expect more wild swings.

Join me tonight on KSN News for a look at the best days to get outside for some fresh air before the next wave of cold and wintry weather. – Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman
