MASON, Ohio (WLWT) – A 15-month-old toddler was found dead Wednesday in a parked car in a Mason, Ohio Procter & Gamble parking lot.
Officials said the toddler girl was found in a car seat in the back seat of the vehicle by her mother, an employee at P&G.
Investigators said they believe the child was in the car for the amount of time of the average work day, around 7:30 or 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The 80-degree heat of the day likely turned deadly inside of the maroon Nissan SUV with tinted windows.
“It’s too early for me to say that. On appearances it would be, but it’s way to early in the investigation for me to make a determination as to that,” said Warren County Coroner’s Office Chief Investigator Doyle Burke.
