Pursuit ends peacefully in Wichita neighborhood

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Police have peacefully ended the standoff at a house in the 4500 block of South Gold. It started around 8 p.m. Thursday.

Police said they were doing a follow-up in a robbery case. A Mustang left the home, and an officer began to pursue the suspect. After a short chase, the suspect ran back into the same home.

Officers made entry and found the suspect in the attic. He was booked on two counts of aggravated robbery, felony evade and elude, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Officers said several others inside the home made it out safely.
