Combine catches fire in central Kansas

HOISINGTON, Kan. (KSNW) – A farmer was harvesting his wheat Tuesday night when his combine caught on fire.

The Hoisington Fire Department got the call that the combine was ablaze in western Hoisington.

Fire crews worked to get the flames under control, but not until about ten acres of mostly wheat stubble burned as well.

The combine was declared a total loss.
