Man injured in shooting in northeast Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police are investigating a shooting in northeast Wichita. It happened in the 300 block of North Ash around 5:30 Thursday.

Police said a 33-year-old man was shot in the upper body at a home. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

“We responded to a shooting in this area. We found a male individual with a gunshot wound at a home down the street. He was transported to an area hospital where he is currently being worked on by medical staff,” said Sgt. Brandon Lenzi, Wichita Police Department.

Police are looking for a man in his 20’s who was an occupant in a maroon Chrysler 300. If you know anything about the crime, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
