DORRANCE, Kan. (AP) – Authorities say a several train cars carrying coal have derailed in central Kansas.
The police department in Wilson says the derailment happened Sunday just before 8 a.m. near Dorrance in Russell County. The Hays Post reports that no one was injured when the cars jumped the tracks.
Pacific crews and contractors remain on site to remove debris and clean up the site.
The derailment is under investigation.
