I-70 eastbound reopened near Colby after large crash

COLBY, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Highway Patrol is reporting that eastbound I-70 is now back open at Colby after a large crash that blocked the road.

According to Technical Trooper Tod Hileman, the crash involved 8 to 9 vehicles, including a vehicle trapped under a semi.

Trooper Hileman said I-70 isremains slick and there are several other crashes and slide-off’s in northwest Kansas the patrol is working as well.

Troopers remind drivers to check road conditions and be cautious before heading out. If road conditions are slick, you are advised not to use cruise control.
