DENTON, Mich. (WPBN) – More people than usual were being pulled over in Roscommon County, Michigan Tuesday.
The sheriff’s department and the Denton Township Police Department were out to meet their quota on Tuesday, but not for giving out tickets.
Instead, they were giving out turkeys.
Shirley McCall was pulled over for having snow in front of her license plate.
She was pleasantly surprised.
“It think it’s great,” McCall said. “That’s a nice surprise, especially for Christmas time,”
The turkeys were all donated by the Roscommon and the Houghton Lake Rotary Clubs.
