ROSE HILL, Kan. (KSNW) – The Rose Hill planning commission held a workshop Tuesday night to discuss a proposal that would prohibit RVs, trailers and boats from being parked in front of homes in the town or in private driveways.
Rose Hill residents have expressed anger that the city is considering changing the current law. But, the planning commission said it will revert back to regulations passed in 2011 that will allow residents to park those vehicles in their side yards or driveways if they’re paved. Parking in back yards also would be allowed.
The commission took no action on the proposal and there was no public comment. Wording of an ordinance on the regulations will be worked on and a public hearing on the issue will be held sometime in January.
