One dead, officer injured after crash with Topeka police car

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNW) – One woman is dead and an officer is injured after a collision with a Topeka police car Sunday morning.

According to the KHP crash report, the crash happened at 12th and Webster in Topeka at 1 a.m.

The officer was patrolling on 12th street when 29-year-old Tourquoise Abercrombie ran a stop sign.

Ambercrombie struck the patrol car on the front passenger side.

The officer is identified as Laura Mayer and was taken to the hospital with injuries.

The report says Ambercrombie was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
