Two people wounded, one critically, in north Wichita shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Two people were injured, one of them critically, in a shooting in north Wichita Monday night. The incident occurred shortly before 8:15 p.m. in the 2500 block of E. 9th Street. That’s one block east of Grove and south of 14th Street North.

Sedgwick County dispatchers confirm one person was taken to a hospital in serious condition. The other person was listed in critical condition.

Officers at the scene said one person was shot multiple times at a home on E. 9th. They said there were at least two other houses nearby that were involved in other disturbances. Police are not sure of the connection between the three crime scenes.

The person who was shot multiple times at the first house was taken by private vehicle to Wesley Medical Center.
