Driver dies in southwest Kansas accident

KEARNY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – A man is dead after his vehicle left the roadway in southwest Kansas Friday night.

According to Kansas Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 4:50 p.m. on Road X, 6 miles north of US Route 50.

The report says 69-year-old Victor A. Jennings was traveling south on Road X when his passenger tire came off.

This caused the water truck he was driving to leave the road, rolling into a field where it landed upside down.

Jennings was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries,

The crash report shows Jennings was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
