WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A Wichita couple and their five foster children are homeless after a fire in their mobile home Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at the Stonegate mobile home community in the 2200 block of E. MacArthur shortly before 4:45 p.m.

The first firefighters on the scene reported seeing smoke and flames coming from a mobile home in the park. It took them about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

There were no reports of injuries as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. While fire officials did not give a damage report, a battalion commander on the scene said the home likely will be a total loss.

The investigation into the fire continues.
