LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) – A University of Kansas professor is giving more than 700 autographed portraits of celebrities to one of the school’s libraries.
The Lawrence Journal-World reports associate film and media studies professor John Tibbetts will give the portraits to the Kenneth Spencer Research Library.
Tibbetts interviewed celebrities through his work as a professor and radio and television broadcaster.
Celebrity portraits include depictions of “Fahrenheit 451” author Ray Bradbury, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, actor Julie Andrews and celebrity Whoopi Goldberg.
Tibbetts is giving the portraits in a series of multi-year donations. The first installment will include writers, musicians, broadcasters and sports figures.
