Derby football ready to show what it can do in Emporia

DERBY, Kan. (KSNW) – This year’s Derby Panthers have been tested. It just hasn’t necessarily looked like that’s the case on the scoreboard.

Derby heads into its 6A state championship game rematch against Blue Valley Saturday on a 22-game win streak. And their closest win this season was by 26 points over Hutchinson. The Panthers expect Saturday’s game to be closer than that, and they’re confident they can make the plays down the stretch to win the ballgame.
