Man killed in crash south of Winfield

WINFIELD, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas Highway Patrol said a 20-year-old Winfield man died in an accident Sunday night four miles south of Winfield. It happened on U.S. Route 77 around 10:20 p.m.

According to accident reports, a 2008 Ford was southbound in the northbound lane without headlights after a previous crash. It struck a 2005 Ford head-on.

Twenty-year-old Garrett L. Misora, the driver of the 2005 Ford, died as a result of injuries he received in the crash.

The driver of the 2008 Ford, identified as 29-year-old Arkansas City man, was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
