Man dead after apparent accident at Fuller Industries

GREAT BEND, Kan. (KSNW) – One man is dead after an accident at Fuller Industries in Great Bend. Great Bend police, fire, and EMS were dispatched to the facility around 12:15 p.m. Thursday.

Upon arrival, personnel found 67-year-old Gary Buskirk of Great Bend had died as the result of a head injury. Police said the investigation is in the preliminary stages, and the death appears to be the result of an accident.

Employees were sent home for the day.

“This is obviously a great loss to our community. Today, a lot of people in Great Bend lost a friend or family member. I hope that the community will join me in keeping these friends and family in our thoughts and prayers,” said Great Bend Police Chief Cliff Coach.

Fuller Industries formally known as Fuller Brush is a manufacturer of cleaning supplies, brushes, and private label chemicals.

Fuller Industries did not want to comment on the accident until the investigation is complete. The company told KSN the plant will be closed Friday.
