WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The father of Scottie Goodpaster now has sense of relief.
“We have closure with him being found,” says Scott Goodpaster, Sr.
He says he is appreciative for law enforcement from Harvey and Sedgwick Counties, who worked together to comb the crime scene in rural Harvey County.
“I’d like to express gratitude from all of my family, all of Scottie’s family, all the law enforcement for everything they’ve done to all the public’s help.”
The family is grieving and processing their loss.
“We just want to tell Scottie we love you, we love you baby.”
Five people have been charged in connection with his disappearance and death. Now, his father says he is bracing for the court proceedings while still holding on tight to his memories.
“Sometimes, when you have children, you think you know your children. Then, when they’re gone, you find out things about them you never knew. Like all his friends, he had so many friends that cared about him, touched so many lives in a good way.”
