Smith Center man killed in Osborne County crash

OSBORNE, Kan. (KSNW) – One man is dead after an accident in Osborne County Wednesday. It happened around 7 p.m.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup was traveling south on Highway 24 when it crossed the line and struck a 1997 Ford F350 pickup.

The driver of the Silverado, 74-year-old Kendall Nichols of Smith Center, was killed. The driver of the Ford 350, 64-year-old Craig Hadley, was injured. He was transported to a nearby hospital.

According to the KHP report, Nichols was wearing a seatbelt and Hadley wasn’t.
