WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A semi trailer with cattle rolled and caused traffic issues Thursday morning.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. on southbound I-35 between K-15 and Kellogg. Crews are working to safely move the semi trailer and round up any cattle that escaped.
The driver of the truck is being treated for minor injuries, according to Capt. Joe Bott, with the Kansas Highway Patrol.
There were 40 head of cattle on board and some sustained injuries, Bott said. He believes a few may have to be euthanized as a result.
The highway was closed most of the morning, but just before 8 a.m., lanes were starting to reopen.
