Man dies after hit-and-run in Dodge City

DODGE CITY, Kan. (KSNW) – The Dodge City Police Department is now investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident. It happened around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 2000 block of East Trail Street.

When officers arrived, they discovered 27-year-old Evan Kaiser with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he passed away. It was determined he was walking west on Trail Street when he was struck from behind by a vehicle traveling westbound.

After reviewing video surveillance, the suspect vehicle is a Nissan Murano is either gray or silver in color with potential damage to the passenger’s side. The suspect and suspect vehicle have not been located.
