WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The man arrested in connection to a deadly stabbing that left a child dead last Friday had his first appearance in court Tuesday.
A judge charged Hassan Wright with 17 crimes, including first-degree murder for the stabbing death of a 6-year-old girl. He is also now facing attempted murder, kidnapping, and rape charges.
Law enforcement arrested Wright Friday after, they say, he stabbed several family members, killing one and injuring two.
He is being held on a $1 million bond and will be back in court on Nov. 22.
