Nico Hernandez announces date for his first pro boxing bout

After winning an Olympic bronze medal, Wichita native Nico Hernandez faced a tough decision about whether to stay an amateur or pursue a professional career in boxing. Today, he not only announced his decision to go pro, but also the details on when that journey will begin.

Nico’s first fight will be December 10th in Omaha, Nebraska on the undercard of 2-time WBO champion Terence Crawford. He explained to KSN the reasoning behind his decision.
