Person of interest arrested and booked for incident in Valley Center

VALLEY CENTER, Kan. (KSNW) – According to the Sedgwick County booking report Thursday morning, Willie Earl Morris was arrested and booked on suspicion of four counts of aggravated battery, four counts of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and one count of first-degree murder following an incident on Sunday. Morris was originally named a person of interest in the case.

Police and sheriff’s deputies were called to a home at 1300 N. Meridian Sunday. Officials said there was evidence of a struggle and assault in the backyard.

Through follow-up investigation, it was determined that 33-year-old Scottie W. Goodpaster, Jr. was missing. It was determined the white 2001 Chevy Quad Cab truck that the sheriff’s office was looking for has been located.

Three other suspects have been arrested. The first suspect is 42-year-old Heidi Hillard, 49-year-old Jeff Hillard. Both suspects were booked for two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated battery and one count of rape. A third suspect, 39-year-old Brian Bussart, will be booked for two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated battery.
