Man killed in hit-and-run

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNW) – Police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run incident that killed a Junction City man.

A Kansas Highway Patrol report show the incident happened just after 11 p.m. last night on I-70 near Rice Road.

The report says 29-year-old Anthony Espinosa and 25-year-old Jamie Cooper were trying to change a tire on the shoulder of the highway when a truck stuck them both.

Espinosa was pronounced dead at the scene. Cooper was not injured.

Kansas Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a White Ford F150 with 60 day temporary Kansas tags. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Kansas Highway Patrol or Crime Stoppers at 785-234-0007.
