Teenager charged with killing elderly Wichita driver

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A teenager accused of killing an elderly driver during a short police chase in Wichita is now charged with a string of crimes.

Eighteen-year-old Alex Davis is facing 10 counts including murder, burglary, theft and attempted robbery.

Police say he was driving a stolen car on Monday when they tried to stop him and seconds later crashed into 91-year-old James Dexter’s car killing him.

Davis allegedly tried to run away, but police caught him.
