Newton police bust home for selling illegal homemade liquor

NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) – Newton police busted a home for selling illegal homemade liquor. It happened at home in the 1000 block of East 7th Street.

On Thursday morning, police served a search warrant and found an active moonshine still and homemade liquor inside. All the items were seized or destroyed. The suspects had been using and selling the illegal liquor.

According to Newton police, the suspects will be facing federal charges from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. They have not yet been indicted, and no arrests have been made. Police have been coordinating the effort for the past several months with the ATF and Kansas Alcoholic Beverage Control>
