Update: Police identify man killed in shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – One man is dead after being shot multiple times in south Wichita. It happened around 4:50 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Seneca.

The victim, 46-year-old Samuel D. Resendez, was found in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to St. Francis where he died. Witnesses stated the two men were arguing in the parking lot when the suspect fired the two shots at the victim.

The suspect, an unknown Hispanic male wearing all blue, left the scene in a white Range Rover with California tags that was later recovered at Maxwell and Walnut. Police have not located the suspect.
