Wichita man attacked, robbed outside apartment

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A man is recovering after receiving a fractured eye socket from being assaulted and robbed early Friday morning.

Police say it happened at 2:45 a.m. in the 4200 block of South Hydraulic.

The 30-year-old victim says he was sitting outside his apartment when two men wearing masks ran up and started beating him, demanding money.

The victim says he handed over an unknown amount of money. The suspect left in a small car of unknown make and model.

The man was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Joseph where doctors discovered he suffered a fractured left eye socket.

Police are searching for the suspects.
