What is your plan to deal with the Kansas Budget?

We must establish a fair tax plan and that begins with repealing the 2012 tax policy that is currently in place. The tax burden is on the lower and middle class through the sales tax and property tax and removing the food sales tax is needed.

What kind of changes do you support in rewriting the school funding formula? Do you support additional funding for Kansas schools?

The old method was a balanced method and some form of the old method should be reinstated. The old method forced the school board to balance the physical plants and the funding for the classrooms. The block grants and then not funding the grants adequately will cause an imbalance in school budgets.

What is your number one priority for the upcoming legislative session and how do you plan to address it?

I strongly support accepting the federal funds to support the KanCare and Medicaid program. We send our tax dollars to Washington and this is an opportunity to get those funds returned to the state.
