My wife and I have been married for 35 years and have been home owners in the 97th district for over 30 years. We have 3 grown daughters, 3 wonderful son-in-laws and 7 grandchildren.

What is your plan to deal with the Kansas Budget?

We must end the deficit spending as required by the Kansas Constitution by repealing the Brownback experiment which my opponent repeatedly vote to implement and refused to repeal. We must repeal the law that exempts over 330,000 top income Kansans from paying no income taxes which created higher taxes on working families. We should repeal the sales tax increase on groceries purchases and move toward end sales tax on food.

What kind of changes do you support in rewriting the school funding formula? Do you support additional funding for Kansas schools?

My campaign is based on two things: I am running to restore fiscal responsibility and to be a voice in Topeka for strong schools that are fully funded which is again required by the Kansas Constitution. We must return to our moderate Kansas values of excellence in education.

What is your number one priority for the upcoming legislative session and how do you plan to address it?

I plan to work with all members of the Kansas House of Representatives whether they are Republican, Democratic, conservative, liberal or moderate and make the number priority of getting our great state’s fiscal house in order. I plan to work on working family issues. This issues are linked with the State of Kansas doing their job in providing for strong schools. This all starts with repealing the Brownback experiment. Together we can restore and heal Kansas.
