What is your plan to deal with the Kansas Budget?
The first thing we should do is produce a balanced budget. We must end the LLC loophole so everyone pays the same rate on state income taxes. I was one of 27 last year to vote in favor of ending the LLC loophole and one of 47 last session who voted to fix this unfair tax. I will also work to find efficiency’s.
What kind of changes do you support in rewriting the school funding formula? Do you support additional funding for Kansas schools?
I have been meeting with my administrators and teachers to find out what think our funding options should include. I will work with administrators, teachers, parents and school boards to make sure we craft a new formula that is fair and equitable for our schools in western Kansas
What is your number one priority for the upcoming legislative session and how do you plan to address it?
I believe a balanced budget should be the number one priority along with making sure the LLC loophole is fixed.
