DODGE CITY, Kan. (KSNW) – EmberHope said Monday it is closing its Dodge City Youthville residential campus on Nov. 12.

Currently, there are between 45-50 staff members who’ll lose their jobs or move on to other EmberHope positions.

The Dodge City residential campus currently has 17 youth enrolled in the program.

Shelley Duncan, president and CEO of EmberHope, said funding from the state is down, and EmberHope can’t sustain its residential services with diminished funding.

Funding for EmberHope residential services comes partly from private donations and partly from the state.
