Mountain lion discovered in Rawlins County

RAWLINS COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism said a hunter in Rawlins County had quite a surprise this month.

When the hunter was checking his trail cameras, he discovered a lone mountain lion in a couple of frames.

The shots provide a crystal clear image of the animal’s signature long, upturned tail.

The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism said this is the 16th confirmed mountain lion in the state to date.
