Wichita State welcomes back gold and silver medalists from Paralympic Games

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita State welcomed home two medalists in the Rio Paralympic Games on Tuesday morning. Wushock and cheerleaders were in attendance as Deja Young and Nick Taylor exited the plane.

Nick Taylor, Wchita State men’s volunteer Director of Operations, and his partner David Wagner won the silver medal in wheelchair quad doubles tennis. Taylor and Wagner had previously won the last three gold medals in the event.

Wichita State junior Deja Young won two gold medals at the Rio Games.  She won in the T47 200 meters and the T47 100 meters.
