(NBC) – A shared 36th birthday is the tie that binds the characters in NBC’s new drama “This Is Us”.
“As time goes on, you start to see what happens, without giving it away, they are connected in ways just beyond their birthday,” says star Sterling K. Brown.
Fresh off his Emmy win Sunday night for “The People vs. OJ Simpson”, Brown plays Randall, a successful family man who finds the father he never knew.
“Having lost my father when I was 10, it was a very easy connection for me to enter Randall’s journey,” Brown says.
“This Is Us” premieres tonight at 9 p.m. following “The Voice”.
