Man arrested after toddler suffers broken arms and skull fracture

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police said a 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of aggravated battery and child abuse after a toddler suffered broken arms and a skull fracture.

He has been identified as Talyn Roades.

Around 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to Wesley Medical Center after a mother took her 1-year-old daughter to the emergency room.

The mother found that her daughter had bruises and swelling after being in the care of her 21-year-old boyfriend, Taylyn Roades. Doctors found that the girl suffered broken arms and a skull fracture.

Police interviewed both the mother and her boyfriend. Roades was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and child abuse.
