WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police said a 37-year-old man was attacked in an alley in the 100 block of North Rock Island early Friday morning. It happened around 2 a.m. Officers responded to an assault call and found a man who had been struck by another man.

“Officers were able to talk to him a little bit, and a 29-year-old male witness who advised an unknown black male hit the victim with his fist, causing the victim to fall to the ground and hit his head on the street rendering him unconscious,” said Sgt. Nikki Woodrow, Wichita Police Department.
