WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Police were contacted by a man Tuesday who told officers that he had witnessed what he thought was an abduction in the 2200 block of South Broadway.
The man said he saw a man and woman in an argument when an orange car driven by a woman pulled up and the man grabbed the woman he was arguing with and forced her into the car, which then left northbound on Broadway.
An officer spotted a car matching the description at a home on South Lulu. Police found a 28-year-old woman at the home, a 49-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman who was driving the orange car.
The 28-year-old woman told police that the two others, who she knew, had come to the hotel where she was staying and demanded money that they said she owed to them. The man then forced her into the car and was hitting her as they drove away.
Both suspects were booked into jail.
