WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — KSN’s Dave Freeman is being recognized for more than 41 years in broadcasting, and for what he gives back to the community when he’s off the air. Dave has earned the Distinguished Service Award from the Board of Directors of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters.
He has been Chief Meteorologist at KSN for more than 20 years, and he’s been forecasting the weather for more than 25 years. Dave is the first person ever to be recognized two times as the Broadcaster of the Year by the National Weather Association. He has also been honored with an Emmy, and as part of a team, with a national Edward R. Murrow award.
Dave will also automatically be inducted into the KAB Hall of Fame in October.
