Gold for the US in cycling

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Kristin Armstrong of Boise, Idaho, secured another gold medal for the U.S. this morning.

The win in Olympic cycling time trial was her third consecutive, going back to the 2008 games in Beijing.

Her winning time was 44 minutes, 26.42 seconds, 5.55 seconds faster than the runner-up from Russia.
