Wichita woman OK after shots fire at her home

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police detectives are investigating a report of shots fired at a residence in northeast Wichita. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of N. Old Manor about 6:20 Saturday morning.

Wichita Police Sgt. Steve Yarberry said after officers were dispatched to the report of a shooting they met a 43-year-old woman who said she heard gunshots from inside her residence. When they investigated, they found her residence had been struck twice. The woman was not injured in the incident.

Yarberry said the woman did not see a vehicle after the shooting. He said the incident is not being considered a drive-by shooting.

No suspect is in custody for the shooting.
