Sandwich shop robbed in southeast Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A man held up a Subway sandwich shop late Friday night in southeast Wichita. The incident occurred about 10 p.m. in the 3300 block of E. Harry St.

Wichita Police said a 25-year-old woman was working in the store when an unknown man enter the Subway armed with a handgun. The victim said the suspect pointed the gun at her and demanded money from the register and safe.

Sgt. Steve Yarberry said the employee gave the robber an unknown amount of cash. He was last seen running westbound from the business.

No one was injured in the incident.
