WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – An early morning shooting in Wichita left one man wounded Saturday. The incident occurred about 2:45 a.m. in the 4900 block of E. 21st Street North. That’s between Oliver and Pinecrest in northeast Wichita.
Wichita Police Sgt. Steve Yarberry said when offices arrived on the scene they found shell casings in the parking lot of shopping center. While officers were on the scene, a 23-year-old man walked into Wesley Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Yarberry said the victim was not cooperative with officers and said he did not want the case prosecuted.
No suspect was identified in the case.
